I’m Amber, and I am beyond thrilled that you are here! It’s time to hang up your preconceived notions about what health is and embrace life as it is.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Running coach, foodie wannabe, lover of all things running, fellow gym mermaid, and am fluent in sarcasm.
I started Be Fearlessly Fit (trademark pending) in May of 2017 (formerly known as Pounding Pavement with Amber) because I fully believe that living a full and healthy lifestyle is completely doable even with the clock feeling like it’s on fast forward.
Something else that I stake this blog and my training services on is that being healthy is not about eating grilled Chicken and Kale every meal or living in the gym. Healthy living is all about balance.
But, if we aren’t careful, a healthy lifestyle can seem daunting, can’t it? Even if you’ve been working at it for years, it always seems like there’s something new that you “should be doing” and everything seems to contradict itself doesn’t it?
Enter, Me! I will help you decipher the mixed messages and keep the journey nice and simple. Because, here’s the truth, sister. Healthy living isn’t about dieting and living in the gym. It’s about balance and making good choices
A bit more about me
Well… I’m the wife of my high school sweetheart and we have a wonderful little boy. I’m a certified personal trainer and running coach who has been around the fitness block once or twice.
My obsession with running and the gym coupled with my passion for living a full and healthy life spills over to writing. I tend to talk too much and type too fast, so sometimes you might find an error in my typing even though I proofread each post multiple times! It’s called real life.
I’ve been an athlete my entire life doing many things ranging from softball to dance. Basketball was my focus in high school and I achieved all state titles. After college, I started running for fun, and have been doing it ever since. In June 2017, I started lifting heavy and coupling heavy weight lifting with cardio and fell in love with the results.
My health journey has been a roller coaster to say the least! When I found out I was pregnant with our son, I told myself that I was going to be the healthiest pregnant woman you had ever seen and wouldn’t gain more than the recommended amount of weight and keep my health in check.
Long story short, I had major health problems during the entirety of my pregnancy, gained over 60 pounds and my blood pressure was out of control. Our delivery was no less dramatic as we had to take emergency precautions and I didn’t get to hold my son for several hours due to procedures having to take place to help us.
By the grace of God, my son and I are both well and I have been able to come back from trauma even stronger than I was before. Since then, I am making it my life mission to work with young women in their quest towards their fitness.

First of all, I hate calling them cheat meals, because that means you’ve done something wrong. Having pizza every now and then is not a crime! It’s called balance. It’s when you make the fake stuff your staple that it becomes a problem!
That said, it is thin crust, meat lovers pizza.

This could get dangerous… I’d have to say, chewing with your mouth open. God gave you lips for a reason; to keep the food in your mouth and so others don’t have to see it!
#1 Fitness Tip?
Find an activity that you actually enjoy doing. Love going to the gym? Awesome, mix up your routines and keep it interesting. Like to dance? Fabulous, find a dance class. Find something you enjoy doing and make it work!
Where is one place in the world you would want to travel?
Fiji. Hands down. One day I will go there.
Who is your personal hero?
This is hard. Thomas Edison ranks pretty high up there. He refused to give up creating the light bulb. He never saw any of his experiments as a failure, just another way of learning what didn’t work.
That is something I try to live by.
Favorite School Subject?
Believe it or not, History! I loved it, but I had great History teachers though. History can be learned from as well and if we don’t, we’re bound to repeat it.
How long have you and your husband been together?
We have been married over 8 years and been together over 13.
